My childhood photograph |

The Thangka |

Gautama Buddha |
I was going through my childhood album when I came across my photoraph with his holiness Dalai Lama. . This photograph transports me back to that proud moment when I
received an award for painting from his holiness Dalai Lama. I still remember
the topic of the painting –Peace. I don’t possess that painting as it was supposed
to be kept by the Tibetan society. Along with a certificate I got this
beautiful Thangka painting .It is made up of
pure silk and I truly love its colors.
It has been nine long years since I met his holiness Dalai Lama. I hope I
get to meet him at Emory University as he would be visiting the university in
early October. He would be giving talk on “The Pillars of Responsible
Citizenship in the 21st Century Global Village”.
Hope you enjoyed the post

P.S-You all must be wondering how this reminiscence links to this
fashion blog. Coincidentally I’m wearing all blue attire which is one of the colors of Emory University's emblem
